SHAHROKH DINI (Compost Black Label / Berlin)

The cheerful German DJ Shahrokh Dini has been making waves with his deep house, Tech-house and Electronic Music sets since the 90s. Every summer he can be found behind the decks of well-known clubs in Ibiza such as Akasha and Las Dalias and he also has various residencies in his home base Berlin.

His own music productions (also under the name: Shahrokh Sound Of K) have been released on record labels such as Sasse’s Moodmusic, Miss Moneypenny Records, Bar 25 Music, Agogo, BBE and of course Compost Records incl. Compost Disco and Compost Black Label. His releases have been played by established fellow DJs including Âme, Maceo Plex, Solomun or Ron Trent. In addition to his love for making and playing music, Shahrokh has also set up and run several clubs and events, such as his own club Monk in his hometown Karlsruhe, Germany.

Shahrokh Dini delivered two top notch EPs in 2023, “Now We Can Dance” with Illinois and “Ubuntu”. The stunning remixes by Lehar (Diynamic Music, Connaisseur Recordings), David Mayer (formerly Keinemusik, Ouïe), Apoena (Freerange), Omer Tayar (The Gardens of Babylon/Tel Aviv), Patrick Zigon (Biotop, Traumraum), Tooker (Ouïe, Crosstown Rebels), Kovi (Compost, Frau Blau) make it a super strong package. “Now We Can Dance” feat. vocals by Illinois is a contemporary house smasher with an 80’s indie dance twist. Shahrokh met Illinois at the Garden Of Babylon parties, where Shahrokh is also a resident DJ.
